Nice dark wood dining room. The feel of a Viking Lodge!

THE STORE

LOVE IT!!  Dark wood everywhere in an old A-frame Whataburger building. Plenty of visible TV’s.

STAFF:

Waiter was exceptional!!

MY ORDER:

I ordered a 2 rib (beef) combo plate.

REVIEW:

The ribs were excellent.  Great flavor.  Perfectly prepared. Not greasy as beef ribs are want to be.  Just the right amount of sauce.

I got some brisket, too, and it was somewhat disappointing.  Not much smoke flavor at all and had the texture of braised beef, ala pot roast. I didn’t finish the brisket.

The cole slaw was ok.  Nothing extra special.

Fries were good, but the plating put the fries in the juices of the meats and were a bit soggy. I didn’t finish those, either.

Iced tea is awesome!

GENERAL THOUGHTS

The Rib Hut is one of our must stops every time our team comes to El Paso to work.  It’s just plain good, comfort eating!!
